Mr Gandhi is a business and technology consultant with over 19 years of experience
spanning telecoms, aerospace, retail and the public sectors.
His clients include: AT&T, BAE Systems, Boots, Cable & Wireless, Colt Telecom,
European Commission, IBM, KPN, London Development Agency, Telia AB, Vodafone and
numerous SMEs, entrepreneurs, and start-ups.
He provides commercial and technical expertise on business transformation, customer
relationship management (CRM) and e/m-Business strategy and architecture design
projects. He enjoys solving complex business and operational challenges, and is
particularly skilled at managing multi-disciplined teams of business and technical
experts, including third-party suppliers, consultants and researchers; often spanning
multiple cultures, languages, regulatory jurisdictions and geographical locations.
In addition to his current role as managing principal of
Excellis Business Consulting, he is the chief technology
architect for
Web2i Commerce - an innovative, award-nominated,
platform for commercialising the next generation of commerce on the Internet - and
for which he has successfully secured 'seed capital' investment and funding.
He has previously served in leadership roles with global firms, including
American Management Systems Inc. (presently CGI Inc.) and
BAE Systems Plc. Whilst
at the latter, he was also awarded the
Roy Chadwick, CBE prize for his contributions to business
performance and process improvement, achieved through the implementation of 'lean'
principles and cutting-edge ERP and e-Business technology.
Zaf has earned a Masters degree (with distinction) in Technology Management (Aerospace),
and a Bachelors degree in Aeronautical Engineering from two of the UK's leading
universities. He also holds the Chartered Engineer (CEng) accreditation, jointly
awarded by the UK Engineering Council and the Royal Aeronautical Society.
Outside work, Zaf enjoys leisure activities with his wife and their two sons, and
coaches his sons (future England hopefuls!) in cricket. In his spare time, he tries
to nurture his portfolio of innovative ideas for the "next big thing" (a habit honed
while working in the Future Projects / Aircraft Design offices at
BAE Systems).
